Tools for Decentralization

Nakamoto Coefficient Tracker - Nakaflow

One of the biggest challenges facing the movement for decentralization in Web3 is the lack of accessible data to illustrate the severity of centralization on a given blockchain.

To address this issue, we've developed Nakaflow, a tool that tracks the Nakamoto Coefficient, a standard measure for decentralization, for top blockchain networks in real time.

Open-Source Research

Wallet & Onboarding Research on Solana

With support from the Solana Foundation, we're researching the accessibility and effectiveness of wallet onboarding experiences for new users. Our goal is to define open-source onboarding standards that prioritize usability and user trust.

    Key findings:

  • Technical complexity and inconsistent UX are key barriers to onboarding.
  • Wallets tend to emphasize speculative features, reinforcing crypto as a “money game.”
  • Users often rely on “Super Onboarders”—experienced friends—to get started.
  • There is a lack of trustworthy, centralized educational content for beginners.

    Initial recommendation:

The Solana ecosystem should lead on “open-source social onboarding,” combining user-centered design with trustworthy education to shift crypto's first impressions away from speculation and toward utility and community.
