With support from the Solana Foundation, we're researching the accessibility and effectiveness of wallet onboarding experiences for new users. Our goal is to define open-source onboarding standards that prioritize usability and user trust.

- Wallets tend to emphasize speculative features, reinforcing crypto as a “money game.”
- Users often rely on “Super Onboarders”—experienced friends—to get started.
- There is a lack of trustworthy, centralized educational content for beginners.

The Solana ecosystem should lead on “open-source social onboarding,” combining user-centered design with trustworthy education to shift crypto's first impressions away from speculation and toward utility and community.
